Jan 17th to Jan 24th

So here is this weeks photos, they are nothing spectacular but I guess they will do.  It has been an awful week for finding things to take pictures of.  I have not been out much this week, it has been either to work, home, or taking the kids somewhere.  Well I guess that is the way it is most of the time.  At times like this it is very hard to remember to take your photo for the day or to remain motivated.  But even if it seems silly at the time or even if the picture does not turn out right I am still taking my photo of the day.  We are not even through with the 1st month of the year and the magic is wearing off again.  I hope I gets some good photos soon to inspire me some more.  Ok so here is the run through of the last weeks photos.
On Jan 17th my dental bridge fell out today while I was eating lunch. So I have to go to the dentist and have it put back in. It is very sensitive without the bridge to cover up the exposed nerves on my teeth

Jan 18th We got our hermit crabs a large new terrarium home. They have been so happy and climbing everything. My advise is to never just leave your pet hermit crabs in those plastic containers that they sell for them in the store. Set them up in a glass tank with a heater and the proper soil and sand mixture, with lots of things to climb on.
Jan 19th I saw these 3 doe on the side of the road on my way home today. The sun had almost set so it was hard to get a good picture. I see them all of the time, but always when the light is not good.
Jan 20th It has started to snow again today. We just recovered from the last snow and now we are getting more. It was not a pleasant ride home after work today.
Jan 21st Woke up to another snowy scene this morning. All of the roads are ice and snow covered after yesterdays rain to snow event.
Jan 22nd There are always turkey coming up in our yard. Today I was leaving the house and happened to have my camera close and was able to get a picutre of them before they flew off back into the woods.
Jan 23rd My sons playing or should I say aggravating each other, just have to enjoy that brotherly love.
Jan 24th My son taking his weekly ballet class at Dance In Bloom Dance Company. He has loved to dance since the day he was born I believe.
Alright so that is all for this weeks photos.  Don't forget to come back soon and see the new scrapbook pages that I am going to post of the photos from Jan 14th to the 16th.  Thanks for stopping by.

Jan 11th to the 16th

So I finally got my internet connection back.  It has been a long week.  The  kids have been out of school for a week because of the weather, they finally went back today.  Most of my pictures this week have snow in them somewhere.  I also shared a sunset with my husband and became interested in terrariums.  So here is a run down of this weeks photos.  On Jan 11th I came home after work and saw this coyote out in the distance. I tried to focus in on him, but with the distance and the light this is the best that I could get.   On the morning of the 12th I saw these birds out having breakfast and thought I would try to get a few shots of them. I love how the Cardinals really stand out against the white snow.  It would work better if they would be still. Have you ever noticed that birds don't sit still for very long?  So I took this photo for the 13th to show the damage I did to my son's snowman. I backed into him yesterday morning when I was leaving for work. We built him in the driveway because the snow was cleaner. I forgot for just a brief second that he was back there. I feel so bad.  My photo for the 14th was of the huge icyles that had formed after days of the snow melting and refreezing.  Glad I got a picture of these icycles when I did, they were all melted by the next day.  On the evening of the 15th we had a beautiful sunset. I decided to make this my photo of the day because my husband thought to invite me out to share it with him, thanks hun.  My photo of the day for the 16th was of the terrarium that Alan and I made for his hermit crab last night.  I have never tried to do a terrarium, I got my information off of a show on tv and thought I would try it. I love the results, this is much more enjoyable to look at than the plastic cage that they were in. I am going to try some more terrariums later.  Remember you don't need pets to have a reason to make one, they are great. I think I am hooked.  Well that's all for now, I am working on my scrapbook pages, so come back and have a look at them when I finish.

Jan 2nd to Jan 10th

My internet has been down and I have not been able to update my blog so here is a quick blog just to catch me up.  Jan 2nd went to my friend Janet's 50th birthday party, Happy Birthday Janet, loved the birthday cake.  Jan 3rd I thought about taking the Christmas tree down but didn't make it. So I took a picture of one of my favorite ornaments instead.  Jan 4th I wanted to show the gas price because that is going to be one of the things to remember this year as the prices go even higher.  Jan 5th for all my coffee loving friends and family members this one is for you. This mug was at Cracker Barrel, it was huge, you could put a whole pot of coffee in it lol. Too Funny.  Jan 6th  I finally went to the foot doctor after a year and a half of being in pain. I have Plantar fasciitis in my left foot and Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome in my right foot. Should be an easy fix but could continue to reoccur. Here is my scrapbook page of my trip to the foot doctor.  Jan 7th  Found this recipe in the Taste of Home Hamburger recipe book.  Everyone loved it. You can serve it over potatoes, noodles, or rice, and add whatever you have on hand to it to change it up.  Jan 8th my son's Cub Scout Pack moved to their new home about a 1 mile down the road. Was driving through Warner Park on Jan 9th and saw a group of vultures cleaning up a dead deer. I don't know why but I find them fascinating. Vultures are a very important part to helping to keep the Earth clean.  Jan 10th the kids were out of school for a snow day, we had 3 inches of snow fall overnight. So we stayed home and went sledding and made a snowman.

Day one January 1st

So this was my 1st picture of the new year.  My son begged me to buy him this snuggy because it has Spongebob on it.  I am not to fond of the snuggy things, it is just a blanket with sleeves made in it or a house coat you wear backwards lol.  The 1st thing he did when we got home was go get undressed and put it on so he could lay around in it.  So I used it as my inspiration for my 1st picture.  I am now going to try to make a scrapbook page for it.  I am look for something to inspire me for that, so come back and look for the scrapbook page that I do for it.

My New 365 Photo Project

I am going to try and do this yet again this year.  I started doing the 365 photo project in 2009 and had a pretty successful year.  I took some pretty good shots and learned that with a little patience and alot of camera clicks I could get some decent photos.  I did not do good last year in 2010.  I took the usual family get together photos but found I had run out of energy for doing a photo a day again.  It is so much hard than I would have ever thought.  Trying to stay motivated and remembering everyday to take atleast one photo is one of the hardest things to do.  You start out all geared and ready to go and your take tons of photos in the 1st few days and then less and less as the 1st month drags on.  Then after a few months you get a second wind and start up with a furry for your next month or 2.  Next thing you know you are thinking this is like a job and you are worn out and uninspired.  The holidays roll in and you have things to take pictures of again.  The year is over and you think I am not going to do this again.  But it is so cool to look back on the year and see all of the photos that you have taken and some of them amaze you and you think wow I actually took that amazing photo.  So the new year is coming and you say to yourself I think I can do this and you start again.  Good Luck
